Cauliflower,Carrot, Potato Subzi

My quick and simple dish that goes well with chapati, puris and rice.

What you need
  • 1 cup cauliflower - cut into small florets
  • 1 carrot  - cut into small cubes
  • 1 potato - cut into smal cubes
  • 1 big red onion - chopped fine
  • thumb sized ginger - chopped fine
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp of tumeric powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • 3 - 4 tbs of yogurt - beat well
How to do
  • cut the vegetables.
  • diced ginger and onion - set aside
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add in cumin seeds. 
  • Once it starts to pop, add in ginger and onions and fry till golden brown
  • Add in the vegetables and stir well.  Add in some water and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add in the salt, cumin powder, tumeric powder, garam masala and stir well.
  • When the vegetables are cooked, add in the beaten yogurt, mix well and remove from fire.
  • Add in chopped coriander leaves and serve hot....

Hello sathiarani, my wife and I really love Indian foods. Me especially banana leaf rice with all the trimmings.
Only day before we bought a packet of banana leaf rice home for lunch.

Your this cauliflower carrot, potato subzi looks interesting.
I always joke with friends as I love Malay, Indian and Chinese foods maybe should marry Indian, Malay and a Chinese wife, ha ha ha.

Uncle Lee we are also missing the actual banana leaf and south indian food. Not to mention missing alot chinese food which is not so authentic in the middle east. I shall keepa song in my heart and you too keep a song your heart. have a nice week ahead.
